Our People
Bulent Ulas – Airport Services Manager
Bulent has over a decade of international airport systems experience in Canada, the UK, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. He was Project Manager for the Automated FOD Detection System at Istanbul Airport, one of the largest and most advanced systems of its kind worldwide.
He led teams at River Island Airport Solutions, ArgosAI, and Medina Airport, delivering multi-million-dollar aviation technology projects. A PMP-certified project manager, Bulent holds a BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Management Analytics, with specialized training in TP312, Airfield Maintenance, and ICAO Annex 14.
He is also a published industry contributor on photometric testing and airfield lighting standards (ICAO, FAA, TP312), with a forthcoming feature in the Fall 2025 edition of IAAE Canada’s Airport Magazine.
Zeki Urganci – Consultant
Zeki brings international expertise in airfield lighting, with experience at ADB Safegate in Belgium and later at Istanbul Airport, where he oversaw the installation and long-term management of the world’s largest and most complex airfield lighting and A-SMGCS systems.
His background provides Arc & Spark with unique insights into both OEM practices and large-scale airport operations. He supports the company on specialized projects as needed.
Michel (Mike) Lacroix – President
Mike is a licensed Master Electrician with over 20 years of experience leading Arc & Spark Electric’s contracting operations. He has built the company’s reputation on safety, compliance, and reliability across commercial, industrial, and aviation projects.
Mike also teaches electrical apprenticeship courses at Collège La Cité, sharing his expertise with future electricians while improving the skills of the future workforce and ensuring Arc & Spark stays closely connected to the latest industry standards and practices.
Our Team of Technicians
Arc & Spark’s technicians are licensed electricians (309A/Red Seal), several holding Master Electrician status. All carry a PWGSC Secret Clearance, are fluent in both English and French, and are fully trained in airport safety requirements, holding multiple industry training certificates.
Having worked in multiple airports and been trained by industry leaders, our technicians offer direct experience in airfield lighting testing, power distribution, and maintenance. Beyond aviation, they are skilled across all major sectors of the electrical industry, bringing a comprehensive foundation that supports diverse project needs.
