RTIL / REIL / ALSF

REIL/RTIL Runway End Identifier Lights – Transport Canada TP312, FAA and ICAO compliant high-intensity flashing lights for runway threshold identification with sequenced or simultaneous firing options.

High-Intensity Runway Threshold Identification

The EMA REIL/RTIL system provides high-intensity flashing lights for runway threshold identification.

The system supports both simultaneous and sequenced firing modes, controlled through a simple 2-core cable configuration. Corrosion-resistant construction with aviation yellow powder coating and stainless steel hardware ensures long-term reliability.

Control cabinets include thermo-regulated heating, automatic power cutoff on cover opening, and operate in temperatures from -30°C to +60°C.
(Options available for operations at -50°C.)

PAR 56 type FT34HP lamp with 60 Joule energy per flash.

Peak intensity 25 Mcd, effective peak intensity 14 kcd.
Flash duration 120 ms at half effective intensity.
Effective intensity at ±15° beam spread: 8 kcd.

Minimum lamp life 500 hours.

Lights mount on aluminum columns (60mm outer diameter) with an angle adjustment assembly. Control cabinets can be placed up to 50m from lights. Includes frangible couplings, mounting column, clamps, and all mounting equipment.

Cabinets resist winds up to 160 km/h.

Fiber polyester cabinet with hinged cover and special locks.

Contains monophase transformer, rectifier, power capacitor, trigger circuit board, and contactor.

Input voltage adjustable 200–250V. Automatic power cutoff and capacitor discharge when cover is opened.

Control cards are socket-mounted for easy replacement.

Cabinet weight 14 kg.

Die-cast aluminium body with electrostatic powder coating in aviation yellow. Stainless steel hardware throughout. Silicone rubber gasket provides watertightness. Safety switch cuts power during re-lamping.

Operating temperature range -30°C to +60°C.
