Runway Guard Light (RGL)

LED Elevated Runway Guard Light – Transport Canada TP312, FAA and ICAO compliant wig-wag warning system with 50,000-hour LED life, frangible mounting, and jet blast resistance up to 480 km/h.

EMA LED Elevated Runway Guard Light (Wig-Wag)

Compliant with

Reliable Warning for Runway Safety

The EMA Runway Guard Light provides high-intensity alternating yellow flashes to warn pilots and vehicle operators approaching active runways from taxiways. Used in pairs, this wig-wag system delivers clear visual alerts at 45–50 flashes per minute.

LED technology provides 50,000 hours of service life at high intensity, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. The unit resists jet blasts up to 480 km/h.

Black face plates and independent visors around each light source minimize sun reflection for reliable visibility in all conditions.

Dual LED light sources with alternating flash rate of 45–50 fpm.

Powered through a 45W isolating transformer.

Net weight 14 kg. Dimensions: 70 x 70 x 40 cm.

Frangible coupling for easy mounting and safety compliance. Includes a tether to secure the fixture during impact events.

Black face plate with independent visors reduces sunlight reflection.

Unidirectional yellow beam with measured values exceeding Transport Canada TP312 minimums. Average intensity of 3,900 cd on-axis, 2,400 cd at mid-range angles, and 1,500 cd at wider beam spread.

Designed for high visibility to approaching aircraft and ground vehicles.

LED fixture rated for 50,000 hours at high intensity.

On/off switch and circuit breaker for easy maintenance access.

Chromate treatment and electrostatic powder coating in aviation yellow. Stainless steel hardware throughout.

Resists jet blasts up to 480 km/h.
