PAPI & APAPI

PAPI-400 Precision Approach Path Indicator – Transport Canada TP312, ICAO and FAA compliant with dual 200W halogen lamps and corrosion-resistant construction.

Reliable Visual Guidance for Safe Approaches

The EMA PAPI-400 delivers reliable visual approach guidance for pilots in day and night operations. Its aerodynamic design, corrosion-resistant construction, and sharp white-to-red transition ensure consistent performance across varying conditions.

With a lamp life of 1,500–4,000 hours and easy re-lamping without optical adjustment, the PAPI-400 minimizes maintenance demands while meeting international compliance standards.

It can be used as a PAPI with four units or as an APAPI with a two-unit configuration.

Dual 200W prefocused PK30d quartz halogen lamps powered through 6.6A isolating transformers or 120V AC.

Aluminum body with stainless steel hardware, chromate treatment, and electrostatic powder coating in aviation yellow. Waterproof and dustproof with internal drainage.

Net weight 33 kg.

Four-leg stable mounting system with adjustable height and breakable coupling flanges.

Differential angle adjustment sleeve allows precise glide path setting.

Intensity ranges from 3,200 cd to 36,400 cd across the beam width, exceeding TP312 minimums.

Sharp colour transition with intensity variation less than 3× throughout the full beam.

Pre-focused lamp bases eliminate optical realignment after re-lamping.

Lamp life reaches 2,000–4,000 hours at typical operating intensities.

Gasket-sealed enclosure and corrosion-proof materials reduce long-term maintenance requirements.

Hardened front glass protects against debris.
